12.06.2012 - In the field of laser machining of ferro-magnetic workpieces, magnetic clamping technology offers the most efficient clamping solutions. Components of varied geometries can be machined efficiently from five sides without interfering contours in optimum cycle times. SCHUNK the competence leader for clamping technology and gripping systems offers magnetic clamping solutions in various designs, which are tailored to the individual applications. A freely positionable Phos-Ball ensures optimum alignment of the workpieces in all directions. Its parallel poles are mechanically actuated by moving a lever. For handling larger components, SCHUNK recommends the use of round or rectangular MAGNOS parallel pole plates, which can also be manually actuated.
