The continued high demand for products "made in Germany" worldwide is reflected by the business development of SCHUNK in Germany, the specialist for toolholding, workholding and automation components. In the business year 2006, the family-owned company managed to increase the consolidated turnover of the group according to IAS by 17.6 percent to reach 150 million EURO. For the current business year 2007, SCHUNK expects a growth of 15 percent. 12 percent of this growth is expected to come from the domestic market and 18 percent from export. Currently, SCHUNK employs 1,450 employees worldwide.
"Quality made in Germany has still an excellent reputation all over the world" confirms Heinz-Dieter Schunk, President of the SCHUNK GmbH & Co. KG. An export quota of approximately 40 percent confirms this fact. "In case of high precision applications, the interaction of innovative R&D know-how, long experience, best material and maximum manufacturing quality are essential for being successful in the market", states the owner of the family-owned business in Germany. Therefore SCHUNK counts on the art of engineering, manufacturing knowledge and raw materials made in Germany.
