Retrospection EuroMold 2006 - SCHUNK presents the world premiere in tooling and workholding
From November 29 to December 2, 2006 SCHUNK participated at EuroMold in Frankfurt with the complete program of toolholding and workholding components. One of the main attractions was the Quick Change Module WSW 55, a world premiere from SCHUNK.
Reduction of set-up costs to a minimum with SCHUNK UNILOCK Quick Change Pallet System
Achieve the perfect connection between machine table and clamping device. Through micron-precise mounting, positioning, and clamping, you will increase the efficiency of your production in a single operation.
Lower your set-up times and costs by up to 90%.
MAGNOS Magnetic plate with SCHUNK UNILOCK interface
For highest flexibility, the magnetic plates offer new combination posibilities. MAGNOS plates can now be combined with the SCHUNK UNILOCK system.
The most universal ones - Chuck jaws for reducing set-up times
The continuously increasing pressure of competition in every industry forces every manufacturer to continue optimizing its individual manufacturing processes. At the same time, factors such as “time” and “flexibility” are gaining in importance.
In the workholding sector these demands are leading to the requirement that clamping systems should be applicable in a broad spectrum of applications and that they can be exchanged within “no time”.
KONTEC KSE and NZS wedge clamping elements
Clamping is performed by simply tightening the fixing screw using a hexagon socket key. No costly special tools are required.
KONTEC KSS -
the mechanical clamping force powerhouse
What previously only seemed possible either pneumatically or hydraulically can now be achieved very simply and with a single hand movement with the KONTEC KSS - 10% to 100% of the clamping force with just one crank rotation! Always with the same crank end position.
Presetting device with integrated TRIBOS clamping system
Those who are already working with the TRIBOS precision clamping device in their production facility shouldn’t have to do without the new SCHUNK presetting device any longer. Because, when used with the TRIBOS Polygonal Clamping Technology, this highly-accurate, optical tool presetting and measuring device, in conjunction with the TRIBOS precision clamping equipment, raises every quality standard by a significant amount.
KONTEC KSC – The all-rounder
KONTEC KSC is the centric-clamping device and single-acting vise for nearly all workpieces, irrespective of whether conventional clamping is involved, whether very small clamping depths for five-sided machining are required, or whether molded parts, plates or workpieces with saw cuts are concerned - KONTEC KSC ensures that adjustments can be made in no time at all.
Drastic reduction of set-up costs by using MAGNOS Magnetic Clamping Technology
MAGNOS magnetic clamping technology from SCHUNK is the ideal and flexible solution for your workpiece clamping. It fulfills all requirements of modern machining processes as well as changing order and logistic requirements. Whether for horizontal or vertical machining of ferromagnetic finished goods or raw materials – MAGNOS offers highest flexibility and efficiency.
Wireless Pressure control RSS for pneumatic Power Chucks
To monitor the clamping pressure in OD clamping of the lathe chuck. Through wireless sensors, the clamping pressure is controlled continuously during the machining process. The signal is transmitted directly to the control of the machine. If the clamping pressure drops below the minimum value, the machine control
immediately stops the machining process.
MAGNOS MLH Permanent lifting magnets for faster and safer workpiece transportation
MAGNOS MLH permanent lifting magnets were brought into the SCHUNK program to enlarge the variety of products with MAGNOS magnetic clamping technology. By using these lifting magnets, the workpiece transportation time is reduced and becomes safer.
Highlights Toolholding and Workholding 2006 – Progress through ideas
As a leading manufacturer of innovative and high-precision tooling and workholding technology we are offering effective solutions for your applications. All to benefit you.
New GZB-S intermediate sleeves for TENDO hydraulic
expansion toolholder for extremely small clamping
diameters starting from 0.8 mm
The new TENDO GZB-S intermediate sleeves (outside diameter – 8 mm) supplement the range of existing intermediate sleeves. The clamping range extends from 0.8 to 6.0 mm, in increments of 0.1 millimeters.
New - SCHUNK UNILOCK quick-change pallet system NSE 138-T
Fixes, positions and clamps workpieces and devices in one single operation.
This means that set-up times are reduced to a minimum!
New ROTA THW vario -
Flexibility for lathe chucks – the easier way of internal and external clamping
Continuously decreasing batch sizes and the increasing number of different variants require a larger number of conversion processes for lathing. This means increasing demand in precision and repeatability requirements for these processes.
TRIBOS in the Korean automotive industry
In the 1960's, South Korea was considered to be one of the world’s poorest countries. Today, after 40 years of rapid economic growth, the Republic of Korea is now among the most important industrial nations. In terms of gross domestic product, the Korean economy today ranks as the eleventh largest in the world. A number of large Korean companies such as Samsung, Hyundai and LG are among the world’s industrial leaders in the automotive, IT and telecommunications sectors.
