Pneumatic Power Chucks

ROTA TP

The ROTA TP self-contained power chuck from SCHUNK is equipped with an integrated pneumatic cylinder. The force transmission is effected by the proven wedge hook system. The chuck contains an air supply system on the distributor ring. Therefore no rotary feed throughs are necessary.
Especially on machines without hydraulic clamping cylinders, the simple interchangeability is an advantage to replace manual chucks.

ROTA TB-LH

The technology of a self-contained power chuck with fast and extended stroke (LH) is based on a chuck piston with two different gear transmission ratios. This technology can be used for O.D.-Clamping only! Due to this principle of function, the chuck has a low air consumption, a large and fast jaw stroke combined with a maximum clamping force. Due to the very large through-hole these chucks are suitable for the machining of large pipes. Moreover, the machining of adapter plate components is also possible. The chuck contains an air supply system on the distributor ring. Therefore no rotary feed throughs are necessary.

Wireless Presure control RSS-P1

Wireless Presure control RSS-P1, to monitor the clamping pressure in OD damping of the lathe chuck. Through wireless sensors, the damping pressure is controlled continuously during the machining process. The signal is transmitted directly to the control of the machine.

Wireless Path Control RSS-W1

Wireless Path Control RSS-W1, ensures safety during turning operation. The “workpiece is securely clamped” signal is transmitted via radio signal to the machine – only then does it start. Fully automatic; no manual or visual check is needed. That eliminates operating errors. Also during machining, the secure position is constantly checked at defined intervals.
