Clamping of railway wheels in 2 clampings (1st operation: rough part, 2nd operation: premachined). Loading is manual.

By using standard top jaws, the cost for spare parts is low. By initiating the force over 6 clamping areas, the clamping force could be increased. Thus, larger cutting depths and feeds are possible during rough machining. This reduces the run-through times.
Rough and finish machining of railway wheels in both set-ups with high demands on accuracy (roundness).
