Rims should be deburred automatically.
A 2-finger parallel gripper provides the required clamping force as a drive unit. Its jaws are guided outward via a linear ball bearing guide. The rim is gripped from the belt on its flange by a gripper and is automatically deburred in a grinding machine. The gripping unit has plug-in roller clamping inserts to be able to grip various rim sizes from 14 inches to 21 inches without another conversion operation. The occurring forces and torques are supported via a linear slide here. In order to protect the gripper from the formed chips, it is operated with purge air (0.5 bar).
- Large stroke for gripping large workpieces
- Plug-in roller clamping inserts in the gripper unit for maximum flexibility in the workpiece diameter.
- High force and torque absorption by linear slide
